The trailer for the new adaptation of the favorite love story "One Day" is out!
In February, the series based on the novel by David Nicholls, which already had a successful film adaptation with Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess, will arrive.
Yesterday, Netflix presented the first official trailer for its new series "One Day". This series is based on the bestselling novel by David Nicholls.
Nicholls said that the idea for the series started coming up five or six years ago. "Between making the movie and making this version, it's almost as if this new medium was invented. Streaming TV is much more analogous to the experience of reading a novel than a movie," he stated.
The beautiful love story about Emma and Dexter, which spans 20 years has already received a successful screen adaptation in 2011. It is a story about the aforementioned couple who spend a passionate night one night after graduation, and then accidentally or intentionally meet on the same day during the next twenty years. Yes, you read it right, on July 15 but every single year.
In this adaptation, the main actors are Ambika Mod as Emma Morley and Leo Woodall as Dexter Mayhe. In the series, they meet at the prom and spend an evening together, after which they separate the very next day. But fate will have them stay connected for the next twenty years.
Nicole Taylor gave the idea for the series and is its screenwriter along with the author of the book, David Nicholls. As we mentioned previously, "One Day" stars Ambika Mod as Emma and Leo Woodall as Dex, Essie Davis, as well as Tim McInnerny, Amber Grappy, Jonny Weldon, Eleanor Tomlinson, Joely Richardson, and Toby Stephens.
"One Day" will make its debut during Valentine's Day on February 8, this year on Netflix.
