NEW: Exciting trailer for the second season of "Tokyo Vice" is out!

Jake Adelstein ( Ansel Elgort ) is back on the hunt for a new story and things aren't looking great! The latest trailer for the second season of "Tokyo Vice" gives us another glimpse into the underworld of the city of the same name. The series was created by JT Rogers and it is based on the 2009 book of the same name written by journalist Jake Adelstein.

The new trailer shows Jake in the familiar setting of Tokyo, where he's still in search of stories and he still "loves the unpredictability" of his job. Things take a turn when a new mystery catches his attention, but he can't trust anyone and plunges straight back into a deadly game of cat and mouse.

The series was partly inspired by Adelstein's first-hand report of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police. The upcoming season will take us deeper into the city's criminal underworld as Jake uncovers a new mystery but soon realizes that it could cost him his life and the lives of his loved ones.

The success of the first season, which ended with a lot of open questions, prompted the producers to immediately give the green light for a second season. Now, the upcoming season seems to be picking up where it left off and featuring all the same elements of excitement, action, and mystery. It sounds great!

Most of the original cast will return for the next season: Ken Watanabe as Hiroto Katagiri, Rinko Kikuchi as Eimi, Rachel Keller as Samantha, Shô Kasamatsu as Sato, and Ayumi Ito as Misaki. Yosuke Kubozuka and Miki Maya will join the cast .

The new season of the series "Tokyo Vice" returns to Max on February 8. On this date, two episodes will be released. Subsequently, one episode will debut every week for eight weeks.
