However, considering that she has been a big fan of make-up since her early childhood and that make-up is a big part of her aesthetics and identity - she decided to start her own brand. The launch of the beauty brand was an authentic and honest step, and you can see from Ariana how ecstatic she is when it comes to the fact that the first line of her brand has come to light. The creation of the beauty brand took two years, and during the entire process, Ariana kept this project a secret. However, she tested all the products on herself, wearing them at performances, in order to come up with the exact formula she considers the best through practice with her team.

Also, Ariana recently participated as a judge in the show The Voice, and she wore makeup from her collection on that occasion as well - to test its appearance and durability in front of the camera. Well done for the dedication! On the set, she repeatedly encountered questions about what makeup she was wearing, which put her in an awkward position because the brand was a secret at the time, but today she just laughs at all those situations.

As for the brand name, Ariana said two things were crucial. One is her eponymous song "R.E.M", and the other is just the meaning of the abbreviation REM. REM is a rapid eye movement that occurs due to deep sleep, and Ariana believes that focusing on the eyes and focusing on dreams are extremely important, because the eyes and the unconscious can often communicate better than words.

The first collection of Ariana's brand consists of a palette of eye shadows, highlighters, lipsticks, plumping lip glosses, mascaras, eyeliners, liquid shadows, and false eyelashes. The singer was guided by the products that she herself needed to have as part of her makeup collection, and she says that she wanted all the packages to look futuristic - as if they were from the Black Mirror or Star Trek series. The eyeshadow palette is called Babydoll, which is the nickname that her grandfather gave her as a child and which additionally contributes to the emotional connection that Ariana has to each product in the collection. It was extremely important for the singer that her make-up line is effective and long-lasting, and that she be able to "endure" the conditions of the music business, which is very exhaustive.
