Filming of John Wick 4 wraps, official title revealed
The fourth movie about unstoppable John Wick prepares the ground for its arrival, and its original title seems to be known now.
Actor Shamier Anderson shared several photos of the film’s set on his Instagram, including the one with lead star Keanu Reeves.
“John Wick 4: Hagakure,” says on the piece of equipment from the set, which is visible in one of the photos.
This gave the impression that the fourth sequel would be titled just that.

The word “Hagakure” according to the eponymous book from 1716 written by samurai Yamamoto Tsunetomo, can be translated as hidden in leaves or fallen leaves. In this way, samurai are compared to something that no longer has its original role.
Tsunetomo was a samurai to the nobleman Nabeshimi Mitsushigi for a full 30 years, but finding himself during the peace in Japan, he failed to fulfill his role. He adhered to the patterns of behavior of his ancestors out of decency and his love for tradition. He was willing to do anything for his master, eager to prove himself the way other samurai did — to lay down his life for him. His master forbade him to do so, and thus made him a person without a purpose in life. Tsunetomo served his master until his death, and then he remained regretting that he could not follow him.

While we’ll have to wait until the end of May 2022 to see what all aspects of “hagakure” and samurai life will be embodied in John Wick, we do not doubt that the wait will pay off.
Anderson will join colleagues Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Laurence Fishburne, and others, and will play a character named “Tracker”.
