After months of harsh words and battle between Jamie Lynn and Britney Spears,’ the younger sister seems to be calling for a truce. The arguing continued on Saturday night with Jamie begging her older sister to call her so they can stop settling their issues in public.
Following months of drama between the two sisters, the jabs grew into a full-blown Insta-clash. Recently the bout is unravelling on public. Fans are following every word and cheering for their favourite Spears. Things went wild after the famous singer called out Jamie Lynn, for speaking about her and while promoting the upcoming book, "Things I Should Have Said.", and talking about the infamous conservatorship.
Furthermore, Britney allegedly accused her little sister of making up and spreading lies on tour, and in the press, after watching her sister’s "Good Morning America" interview on Thursday. Jamie responded to the allegations in a long statement on Instagram, which seems to have started the public argument of the siblings.
On Saturday, Jamie tried to end the public feud, saying that it is tacky and declaring unconditional love for her older sister.
Britney responded: "Jamie Lynn … I don’t think your book is about me at all … I said some harsh things because you obviously hurt me by the things you are making up about me !!! When I said only a scum person would make up things like that about someone, I could have sworn I said ‘but you’re not … but it doesn’t make sense at all to me what you are saying !!!"
The Toxic Spears sister was praising Zoey 101 ‘s lead role in comments for working hard for everything she has now. Also, she mentioned they did not endure the same degree of mistreatment and scrutiny. In detail, she wrote about the 13 years under her conservatorship. She said Jamie Lynn was not there for her.
"You guys treated me like nothing and that’s not even half of it !!! I’m honestly shocked Dad isn’t in jail !!! Come on !!! We are supposed to have each other’s back … but what you’re saying just truly confuses me !!!" Britney wrote. "All I know is I love you unconditionally !!! So go ahead and say whatever you want … it’s so tacky for a family to right publicly like this !!!"
Britney added: "You say you love me … yet your loyalty is still with the people that hurt me the most !!!"
Jamie responded after a few hours on her Instagram Story. It seemed she wanted to avoid continuing this debate publicly. Besides that, she alleged that Britney isn’t responding to her calls.
"Britney - Just call me, I have attempted many times to speak to you directly and handle this privately like sisters should, but you still choose to do everything on a public platform," the actress wrote Saturday. "In the meantime, please stop continuing the narrative that I haven’t been there for you or that I’m making things up. I’m happy to share how many times I’ve reached out to you, supported you and tried to help you. This is embarrassing and has to stop. Love you."
It remains to be seen if this could be the end of the war of posts between the singer and the actress. Seemingly both sisters think is time for a parley and a temporary seize of fire, at least.
