Where are the Spice Girls and what do they do?
Emma got married, Mel B had an affair, Mel C suffered, Gary struggled with bulimia, and Victoria with trauma. Those are just some of the informations.
All the 'Spice girls' will be in the same place for the first time after so many years, and the reason for that will be the wedding of Brooklyn Beckham (22), British media report. Victoria made sure that former colleagues Gary Horner (49), Mel B (46), Emma Bunton (46) and Mel C (48) are present on that big day. It is still unknown are the girls going to use this opportunity to perform.
This group was founded in 1994 and they were on the scene for six years. The whole world was crazy about five girls from the UK, and each had their own nickname. Baby Spice was Emma, Sporty Spice was Mel C, Posh Spice was Victoria, Scary Spice was Mel B and Ginger Spice was Gary. The band lasted until 2000, but since then they have returned several times to a tour that reunited their fans.
Their debut single ‘Wannabe’ became an instant global hit and launched the group among the stars. That same year, as a sequel to their success with ‘Wannabe’, they released the single ‘Say You’ll Be There' and the Christmas single ‘2 become 1’, which achieved almost the same level of success. Their first album was named ‘Spice’ and they realised it in 1996.
Victoria Beckham
Victoria is now the owner of a fashion empire. She is most proud of the family she has with former footballer David Beckham. They are married since 1999. The couple has four children together.
"I am happy to have a wonderful husband, beautiful and healthy children," said the proud Victoria.
She recently discovered hitherto unknown details from her childhood. She admitted that she was a victim of peer violence.
"I was very quiet at school and I didn't have many friends. Now I realize that I actually suffered violence. I don’t want anyone to feel like me so when Harper started school I had an important conversation with her and I told her, ‘If you ever notice a girl standing alone by the side, ask her to play with you because your mother was that little girl a long time ago '. I wanted hER to be aware of that and I want no one to be lonely when Harper is close " said the designer.
Gary Horner
Gary is known by her maiden name Halliwell. She is married to Christian Horner, 48, since 2015, and the couple has two children together. It was she who left the world in shock when she announced that she was retiring from a well-known lineup and moving into independent waters. She is still involved in music, but she made her a career in other fields as well. Gary published two autobiographical books and a series of children's books. She also attracted media attention because she lost 44 kilograms after fighting bulimia.
Mel B
One of the biggest marital scandals to remember is the one in the marriage of Mal B and Stephen Belafonte (46) with their nanny Lorraine. The singer accused the nanny of being guilty of the breakup of her marriage. Mel and her husband allegedly practiced threesome sex with Lorraine after which the nanny became pregnant. They paid for her abortion, and it was rumored that for two months the two of them had an affair without her husband Belafonte. She ended her ten-year marriage four years ago, and she spoke about this experience in 2018 in her memoir 'Brutally Honest'. Mel B also had an affair with a colleague from the group, Gary, in the 1990s.
Emma Bunton
Emma is in a relationship since 1998 with musician Jade Jones, 42, with whom she has a daughter, Tate, and a son, Beau. The couple got engaged in 2006. Last year, the couple also said a fateful ‘yes’, and Emma shared a photo from the wedding on her Instagram profile.
Bunton chose a short white dress with a long cloak and a wreath of flowers for the ceremony, and Jade wore a brown Gucci suit that he combined with a hat.
Mel C
Mel C got her nickname thanks to her sports style. She also recently spoke about the pressure of fame and concluded that she thinks she would not survive if she had been at the height of fame in the age of social media. She also referred to the problems she faced in the 90s in the podcast 'Sink The Pink's Pop-Tarts'.
