She said that they were not in love with each other, but they were as one and that was then the best feeling they had.
Houston broke off the relationship right after she signed the record deal. She told Robyn that she was afraid of being exposed in public. Crawford remained a faithful friend and emotional support of Whitney Houston. She openly describes how Whitney took drugs and how she watched helplessly how her friend's addiction spiraled out of control.'Whatever rules they introduce regarding drug use, she would persistently break them and take them whenever she wanted, ' she writes.
At the time Crawford left Whitney Houston in 2000, the star regularly canceled concerts and did not appear on scheduled recordings. She was suspected of physically abusing her husband Bobby Brown. Bobby and Whitney's marriage was full of drugs and alcohol. Many said their relationship was doomed from the start.
Robin Crawford’s story isn’t much happier. She was the daughter of a single mother, who left her husband after years of abuse. Robyn lost her mother and brother but the book is not distinctly dark. After she managed to escape from the orbit of Whitney Houston, Crawford slowly managed to put her own life in order and today she is happily married and has two adopted children. She worked as a journalist, interviewing stars like Jessica Biel and Kristen Bell, and now Robyn is a fitness instructor. By writing this book, she wanted to erase the memory of the death of Whitney Houston, who tragically drowned in a 2012 bathtub. Robin is currently married to Lisa Hintelmann, and her wife told her before they got engaged that she would be with her if she went into psychotherapy and solved problems from the past.
