Scarlett Johansson has been praying for 10 years for the phone to ring, all because of this role!
"I've been waiting for a phone call for about 10 years, I've just been waiting for Kevin Feige," the actress said.
In a recent interview with "Entertainment Tonight," actress Scarlett Johansson reveals that the film "Black Widow", in which she plays the main character Natasha Romanoff, has been in waiting for 10 years.
The Hollywood star revealed that Kevin Feige, director, and head of Marvel Studio, promised a separate film after the release of the first film "Avengers" in 2012, which will focus on Natasha's story, which she interprets.
"We all had a good time, and Feige and I sat across from each other at the table and we started talking about the possibility of an independent film whose central theme would be Natasha" - the actress explained.
"I've been waiting for a phone call for about 10 years, I've just been waiting for Kevin Feige. Only 10 years of waiting" - said, Johansson.
"She mentioned that she was glad that the project took time to materialize, saying that an independent film "would be a completely different film from the one we are working on now", the media reported.
Johansson says she appreciates how Natasha's story ended and adds: "It made so much sense that she would sacrifice herself not only for the greater good of humanity but in fact for her friends."
The “Black Widow” hits theaters and Disney + on July 9th.
