6 Plants For Front Door Of The House

Whether you have a shaded porch great for ivy or your front entrance is in the sun for the majority of the day and excellent for cactus or petunias, the correct plants will bring life to your home even before you go inside. The following 6 plants will look wonderful on your front entrance and will thrill everybody who walks up to it.

1 Ivy

If the front entrance is in the shadow, ivy is a great choice for a climbing plant that will neatly frame the front door of the house, whether you intend to hang it or let it grow out of a pot or window frame.

2 Boxwood

For individuals who prefer classics and elegance, shaped boxwood is an unambiguous option. They might be bushy and short, or tall and manicured to seem more ornamental (boxwoods can often be seen cut into spirals). Boxwood also has the advantage of being low-maintenance and tolerant to cold temperatures.

3 Petunias

Petunias are a wonderful alternative for decorating your front door with flowers and colors if your front door gets a lot of sun. Place them in a window, a hanging jardiniere, a container around the neck, or on each step.

4 Citrus tree

A lemon or orange tree does not require a vast yard to grow. A citrus tree can also be grown directly next to the front entrance (or even inside if you want). Make sure it's in a bright, wind-free location, and bring it inside during the winter.

5 Fern

If you keep the soil moist most of the time, the fern will grow anywhere you place it - indoors or out - as long as there is adequate shade. Standing jardinieres worn around the neck or hanging at the front door will look stunning with these luscious green plants.

6 Schefflera

Bright indirect light and higher temperatures are preferred by this plant. You can trim it to the shape you like, but be sure to rotate it as it develops toward the sun and bring it inside when the weather cools.

So, experiment with these plants, and find the best for the front door of your house.
