Magical red beach that will not survive the fall
The amazing Panjin "red beach" is not really a beach at all, but it is a natural spectacle that can compete in beauty with even the most beautiful seascapes.
Every year, thousands of tourists head to northeast China to enjoy the sight of an unreal Panjin wetland, also known as the "red beach" located in a protected nature reserve in the Liaohe River Delta.

Its characteristic bright red color is ascribed to the red plant of Suaeda salsa of the family Chenopodiaceae, an annual flowering plant of salt habitats, which "dresses" 130 square kilometers of the swamp in a crimson carpet every autumn.
This grass starts to grow in April and May, during the summer it is green, in the fall it starts to get a crimson red color. By winter it disappears - until the next year.

Due to its high salinity, the marshy soil of Panjin, where a special ecosystem has been developed, suits it perfectly. More than 260 species of birds and 399 species of other animals live in this nature reserve.
Red Beach has been under state protection since 1988, and although it is mostly closed to the public, a small part is open to tourists.
