ABBA returns to UK top 10!

"I Still Have Faith in You" and "Don't Shut Me Down" took sixth and seventh place respectively on the British charts, according to estimates published on Sunday, which are based on the first sales and announcements via streaming. The official order will be announced on Friday.

"If the momentum continues, these titles will be the first ABBA singles among the top ten in the UK after 'One Of Us' in December 1981," points out the company in charge of classification.

"I Still Have Faith in You" is selling well on CDs and records, and "Don't Shut Me Down" is the most downloaded song in the UK this week, the company said, adding that both titles have been streamed over 500,000 times.

Both new singles come from "Voyage", ABBA's first studio album since "The Visitors" in 1981.

Its release was announced on Thursday in London, fulfilling the promise of ABBA’s return that their fans have been waiting for for years.

Four members of ABBA - the name of the band is an abbreviation composed of the initials of their names - Anni-Frid Synni Lyngstad (75), Agnetha Fältskog (71), Björn Kristian Ulvaeus (76), and Benny Andersson (74) broke up in 1982.

"Voyage", an album with ten titles, including eight new songs and two covers - "Just a Notion" and "Bumblebee" - will be released on November 5.

The group, known for their hits and costumes from the 70s, is also preparing a virtual concert that will take place in May at the 3,000-seat theater in East London, specially built for the occasion. At the concert that will last for an hour and a half, their hits will be played, and they will be performed by their rejuvenated holograms. Tickets for the concert will be on sale from Tuesday.
