Apple: Beta version of macOS Monterey 12.4 RC
MacOS Monterey 12.4 Release Candidate is one of the most recent betas issued by Apple this week.
Apple released beta versions of its operating systems last week, so it was time for macOS Monterey 12.4 Release Candidate after iOS 15.5 RC, iPadOS 15.5 RC, and watchOS 8.6 RC.
MacOS Monterey 12.4 Release Candidate (RC) is the final version of the software and should be released to everyone if no bugs are discovered in this release.
This update provides a number of bug fixes and performance enhancements for the Mac, as well as some minor adjustments and new options.
Apple is expected to release macOS Monterey 12.4 within the next week.
Furthermore, Apple will introduce the next major version of macOS at WWDC 2022 on June 6 this year, together with iOS 16, iPadOS 16, and watchOS 9, so Cupertino lovers will have the opportunity to enjoy a number of exciting announcements even before the summer.
New Apple TV
Apple introduced a really fascinating multimedia device, the Apple TV 4K 2021, in the middle of last year. The newcomer features an A12 Bionic CPU from the computing giant. He really increased processing power while simultaneously inventing a new, appealing remote control.
The more powerful A12 Bionic CPU includes a number of intriguing advancements. One of these features is the ability to "playback" HDR footage at speeds of up to 60 frames per second.
An even more intriguing novelty for those who put a lot of effort into the picture is the ability to calibrate the screen using an iPhone camera. Apple has redesigned the remote control, which is now made of metal and has a "mute" button.
The Apple TV 4K video player, unfortunately, is not inexpensive. The entry-level model with 32 gigabytes of built-in memory costs 199 USD, while the more powerful model with 64 gigabytes of built-in memory costs 219 USD.
However, as it turns out, the new Apple TV will be a little less expensive. According to web rumors, it will be far less expensive than the current model.
The new Apple TV 2022 multimedia player will be available in the second half of this year. Despite the fact that the novelty is supposed to be significantly cheaper, it is said to be loaded with high-performance hardware.
This will, of course, be capable of running 4K content without issue. It will also include an HDMI 2.1 video port and a Wi-Fi 6 wireless connectivity.
