Apple has updated iOS, fixing battery issues

MacOS Monterey 12.3.1 is also now available.

Apple provides free download and installation of new (minority) versions of its key operating systems. iOS 15.4.1 for compatible iPhones and iPadOS 15.4.1 for compatible tablets are available, among other things.

The main novelty, or improvement, is strongly tied to the battery. Apple is intended to fix the problems that caused the battery to deplete faster than usual after upgrading to version 15.4.

There is also a new version of the macOS operating system Monterey 12.3.1 available, which has been designed to improve the general stability, performance, and compatibility of Apple devices.

However, it also eliminates the issue of Bluetooth devices (such as game controllers) disconnecting or connectivity issues with external displays via a USB-C or Thunderbolt connection (typically they may not turn on).

In addition, a HomePod patch update to 15.4.1 and tvOS 15.4.1 was issued.

Apple bought an open banking and credit reference company called Credit Kudos

The Terms of Service page on the Credit Kudos website, which was changed on March 21, notes that the company is an Apple subsidiary and that its link to the rules is now routed to Apple's website.

According to The Block, the deal was completed earlier this week, and Credit Kudos is valued at $ 150 million.

Credit Kudos is a credit rating service that claims to provide a more comprehensive view of a person's financial health and creditworthiness than existing methods.

Its API analyzes bank account data using an open banking platform in the United Kingdom. Its goal is to assist banking providers in making faster and more accurate choices when individuals seek loans or other financial services.

The agreement might pave the way for an Apple Card to be issued on the other side of the Atlantic. Since August 2019, Apple's credit card has been offered in the United States.

The API could assist the corporation in determining whether to approve a UK resident's application for an Apple card. It can also be used to help Apple's decision-making process when considering whether or not to allow customers to pay for things in installments.
