Ashley Judd walks five months after a rainforest accident: "My leg won't be the same anymore"
Ashley broke her leg five months ago in a rainforest and lay on the ground with a broken leg for 5 hours.
American actress Ashley Judd said in a post on Instagram that she was walking five months after an accident she experienced in a rainforest in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Ashley then suffered a quadruple fracture of the leg.
"My leg will never be the same again. But I have come a long way and I have an amazing life ahead of me. It was everything from eight hours of surgery to exhausting physical therapy. I am grateful to everyone who helped me with the treatment. I worked especially hard for my family and partners, ”Ashley wrote, among other things, on Instagram.
She is looking forward to progress because she says, she couldn't even move her foot until a month ago. Now she is going for a walk in nature and she mentioned that she will continue with that.
Ashley fell five months ago and was seriously injured in an African rainforest. In an interview with New York Times columnist Nick Kristof, she admitted that she lay on the ground for five hours with a broken leg. Then the locals came to her aid, to whom she is extremely grateful.
