Barbra Streisand spoke about her experience with marijuana: 'I only did it once, on stage'
Singer Barbra Streisand has a very modest experience with marijuana, which has nothing to do with her very experienced collaborator from the new album.
The eight-time Grammy winner spoke about her experience with marijuana in an interview with Variety, dismissing the suggestion that she would be upset if a collaborator from the new album caught fire in front of her.
Namely, as part of her new album 'Release Me: 2', 79-year-old Streisand recorded the song 'I'd Want It to Be You' in a duet with Willie Nelson, a longtime marijuana user.
‘I imagined Willie Nelson pulling out a joint and starting to smoke. I guess you wouldn't like it, 'said journalist Mark Malkin, who interviewed Streisand, to which she replied:' Why not? '.
‘One night during my performances at the’ 70s Forum, I really did it, and that was part of my stage performance, ’Streisand said, explaining with a laugh that she was working with producer Richard Perry at the time, with whom she had a conversation about smoking weed .
It was the one and only time she smoked, the singer told Variety.
‘I tried it once, and I didn’t like that feeling. So, I never did that again, 'said Streisand.
Her experiences with alcohol are more positive, and she prefers to drink beer with a certain type of food. But it seems to be more a matter of pairing the taste of hops with a particular food than of feeling intoxicated.
‘I love beer with Chinese or Italian food,’ the singer said, adding that it could also be a non-alcoholic beer.
