Brandenburg Gate
Without a doubt, the Brandenburg Gate is a recognizable attraction in Berlin. Built in 1791, it was just one of many old city gates around the city of Berlin, which at the time were still affordable in size. The decorative Pariser Platz is located at the foot of the gate and is now home to many important city buildings, for example, the Hotel Adlon with its rich history and the Akademie der Kunste (Academy of Arts).
Berlin Television Tower
The Berlin Television Tower, known to the locals as the Fernsehturm, and immediately recognizable from a distance, stands out on the horizon at 368 meters, making it the tallest building in Berlin. Built in the 1960s, visitors to the tower can enjoy a unique panorama of the city. The Berlin Television Tower is located near Alexanderplatz, in the very center of the former East Berlin, and its multiple architecture remains as intriguing as ever.
Reichstag
When the decision was made to move the federal government to Berlin, the time came for the Reichstag building to wake up again from a long-standing dream on Mauerstreifen, a military zone between the two sides of the Wall. The building has been completely modernized since then, and today's visitors to the Reichstag can watch from the glass dome of the building to have a bird's eye view of the city’s bustle.
