Best Interview Ever! Craig and Barden

"If I don't get injured while filming I'm not doing it properly," Daniel Craig said to Javier Bardem

The No Time to Die star had a nice virtual chat with his Skyfall costar, Javier Bardem, as part of Variety's "Actors on Actors" series. Bardem, 52, ignored the bleeding on Craig's forehead like he was totally used to seeing something like that on him. At the end of their call, he did ask what was the cause of the injury on the James Bond actor's head. Daniel was unaware the whole time, and the two ended up laughing about it.

"Let me ask you, my friend, this last question: What happened to you here?" Javier asked Craig, pointing to the wound."

"Where? Did I bash my head?" Craig said in total surprise, as he tried to find the mark. "Have I just got a sandwich on my head? Have I done this whole interview— it's probably a part of a sandwich!"

Craig stood up and looked in a mirror as they both laughed. When he got back 007's actor said with a smile, "You know what it was? Christ. So, they've sent me this wonderful ring flash, which I've set up with an iPad in the middle of it. And I went like this like that and it just fell on my head just before we started!"

He continued with a joke: "No wonder I get f-----g injured every time I do a movie!"

"Thank you for pointing out," he told Javier. "No, literally, I just was setting this up and it went donk and I'm like, 'Ow! Jesus!' I'm not bleeding to death. It's just a whatever. If I don't get injured while filming I'm not doing it properly."

And this is not the first time unusual things happen when Bardem and Craig are together.

Javier Bardem actually jumped out of a cake for Craigs birthday.

Javier remembered doing his "best Marilyn Monroe impersonation" on that occasion as both actors laughed during their chat.

Craig is 364 days older as he was born in 1968. and Bardem in 1969. To make things interesting, as a good coworker, and probably still happy from his own birthday as it is just a day before Craigs, Bardem decided to surprise his Skyfall co-star, singing to him impersonating Marilyn Monroe. It gets even better! He jumped out of a cake 'Dressed Like a Bond Girl.'

"I remember you were in drag, but I know that's a whole other story," Craig, said to Bardem, during their conversation. Bardem responded, "Coming out of a cake. I was supposed to be the Bond girl that night, and oh, my God, I was!"

"Well, [I'm not musical], apart from coming out of birthday cakes dressed like a Bond girl. I sang 'Happy Birthday to You' in my best Marilyn Monroe impersonation," he continued to joke with Craig.

"When they told me to sing, I was like, 'Are you sure of that? Are you sure you want me singing?' And then I try." He said referencing being self-conscious about singing for his new film Being the Ricardos.
