Britney Spears revealed on her Instagram why she posts topless photos
With topless photos, the singer wants to see herself in her "purest" form
After a series of topless photos she posted, Britney Spears continues that series, but now with a big message explaining why she is posting herself topless. In a long message, she first refuted rumors of plastic surgery and pregnancy, and then looked back at her body.
“When any woman is hot and they want to shed a layer … no … I’m not talking in a strip club or a performance … just on a practical scale of being in your car and realizing you’re wearing a stupid long sleeve shirt in the summer !!!! The immediate reaction to any woman who does this after shedding a layer is DAMN I FEEL BETTER … therefore you think you look better !!! I’ve had a billion shows where I’ve done that and to my horror uhhh we’ll … sometimes I didn’t look so great … TOO MANY TIMES and it’s embarrassing as fuck but in my imagination, it felt great !!!! " said the 39-year-old singer.

"I wanted to see myself in a lighter way … naked … like the way I was born and to me looking back at my pictures when I shoot it’s insane the psychology in seeing myself in my purest form gives evidence that pain … hurt … tears … and heavy burdens aren’t who I am. I am a woman …. a beautiful … sensitive woman who needs to look at myself in my purest form !!!, ” she pointed out as the main reason for publishing these photos.
In her post, Spears also referred to the #FreeBritney movement and thanked all her fans for their support over the years, writing that there is a much deeper meaning to the movement than anyone can imagine. She published her latest post just days after her father Jamie Spears also officially resigned as guardian. The battle that was being fought ruled in Britney’s favor so her father has now finally given up the role of the guardian for which he applied back in 2008 due to concerns about her mental state and he has been overseeing her life ever since. In court in June, the singer openly said that she wanted her life back because she was denied the right to have more children and that she was taking medication against her will (the drug lithium - a common remedy for bipolar disorder) and that she felt abused and lonely. A further court hearing is scheduled for the end of September in Los Angeles.
