It was her first public event in high heels where she shone because of two "fashion details" - a smile and the attitude of the winner. Namely, the star of the "Lipstick Jungle" series has something to be proud of: in January, she broke her femur during training. Brooke Shields ended up in the hospital and underwent surgery: two metal rods were inserted in her leg. However, complications arose and she was forced to undergo another surgery, which led to a staphylococcal infection.

This tough period for the actress included intensive antibiotic therapy, the first painful steps on crutches, the fear of whether she would ever get into the shape she was in before the accident, and whether it would affect her work.

"I don’t like something getting the better of me,” she explained. “Especially not a silly, dumb accident. I’m definitely still in rehab. Every time I think I’m strong enough, I realize I have to go back to PT [physical therapy],” she said earlier this year.

In the meantime, a lot has changed: she got to her feet, walked, and overcame rehabilitation. She has also returned to work: she is shooting the romantic film “A Castle for Christmas” for Netflix with her on-screen partner  Cary Elwes
