Camila Cabello on burnout and anxiety syndrome: 'It's like running with a broken leg'
Popstar Camila became famous in the group Fifth harmony, and after she left it, her solo career began, which took an upward trajectory. As she says, she has not taken a break for herself for years
Young singer Camila Cabello (24) participated in the American X Factor in 2012, when five young girls formed the group 'Fifth harmony', which brought them world fame. Camila was 15 at the time and has not had a career break since.
- I was 'burned out' before the lockdown. I lived with a large amount of daily anxiety which was not sustainable in the long run. I felt like I was running with a broken leg, but I didn't listen to my own needs - Camila told Page Six.
Camila is best known for her hits 'Havana' and 'Señorita', and as she says, she kept telling herself that everything was fine and that she could endure everything.
- The pandemic gave me a moment to realize that I don't need to run with a broken leg, but that I can fix it.
She explained that she would not repeat the same mistake now and that she was aware that she should take a break when she felt she needed it.
- I got a new psychologist last year, so I managed to learn a lot about my mental health. From the age of fifteen, I didn't know what it was like to live without pressure - she said.
Camila is in a relationship with singer Shawn Mendes (23).
- I managed to improve relationships with close people in my life, I can connect more intimately with them and that is the most important thing for me - said the singer.
