Stanley Tucci revealed after three years that he was battling severe cancer

American actor Stanley Tucci (60) skillfully hid his battle with cancer for three years, which at one point was very serious. Namely, Tucci's tumor was too big to be operable, so the actor had to undergo intensive chemotherapy and radiation.

- I told myself that I would not go through something like that because my first wife died of cancer and I watched her go through those treatments for years, it was horrible - the actor told Vera.

As he says, his illness fell hard on the whole family, but that the children supported him and treated him wonderfully.

"They fed me with a tube for six months," he said.

As he says, because of cancer he now feels older than before, but that doesn’t stop him from trying out and discovering new things in life. The disease is currently in remission, and the chances of the tumor returning are very small.

Tucci will release his new cookbook ‘TASTE: My Life Through Food’ next month which will be imbued with stories along with recipes.

Stanley is best known for his roles as Nigel in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ and Caesar Flickerman in ‘The Hunger Games’.
