Christina Aguilera: I am a fighter
Although she has a brilliant career today, life has not been kind to her
American pop singer, actress, songwriter, and producer, Christina Aguilera, despite numerous adversities, managed to fight for a high place on the ladder in the world of showbiz, and her life story is not at all naive. She is the child of divorced parents, and during her childhood, she was also a victim of domestic violence.
She lived with both parents until she was seven years old, and when they divorced, she moved with her younger sister Rachel and her mother to live with her grandmother in Pennsylvania. For years, she kept quiet and hid family secrets, and when she couldn’t hide it anymore, she admitted that the trigger for the breakup of her family was that her father controlled them, and physically and mentally abused them.
In her songs, she often sang about her difficult childhood, and she also recorded a documentary film in which she revealed how she endured the mistreatment of a military officer. She spent her earliest days on a military base, surrounded by families where men beat their wives and it went completely unnoticed.

“When I was little, we lived in a military base, and domestic violence was all around me. Although the military police would come to intervene, it would not change anything because its members did the same to their wives and children. When I talk about that period of my life, I always try to understand why I had to go through all that. I remember that once I was a little louder, and since my dad wanted to sleep, he grabbed my hand and hit me on the floor” - the singer once told the media.
This was not the end of her problems. After her father, according to local media, she also suffered violence from her husband, and photographs of her covered in bruises also surfaced. “I knew I had to end it. I don't want to hurt Jordan, and I'm completely devastated that our family has been torn apart. When you're unhappy in a marriage, it's always the children who suffer” - she said earlier.
