CoD: Modern Warfare 2 - Gameplay premiere at Summer Game Fest 2022

This year, the Summer Game Fest internet promotional event will return - and very soon. The main event will begin on June 9th at 1 p.m. our time. Activision Blizzard will also be there with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 gameplay - at the very least, the developer and publisher have announced a "gameplay level global premiere."

The official reveals of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is slated for the day prior, on June 8th. Activision Blizzard's choice of title for the Game Fest screening hints that the Reveal trailer will be a tight blend of (mostly) movie scenes and gameplay. During the major event on June 9th, expect to see a lot more game sequences. Activision Blizzard has remained silent on which aspects of the game should be showcased.

It is also unknown which systems will receive Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Experience has taught us that the reveal video for Activision Blizzard's main first-person shooter should clarify this. Versions for last-gen consoles are possible since, due to hardware limitations, the Playstation 4, for example, will still have a considerable player base in 2022.

As for what to expect this year, we can only speculate, though there are clearly few names that have already struck a chord.

And it is that just yesterday, in an unrelated interview, Naoki Yoshida (better known as Yoshi-P) surprised the Final Fantasy XVI audience by announcing that the final trailer was already completed, along with the message that, despite the factors that had forced the game's release to be delayed, it is now ready to drop "soon."

Statements like these, combined with the fact that this game was supposed to be announced in the spring, lead us to believe that he will be one of the Summer Game Fest's main protagonists.
