eFootball 2022: Update from April 14th

The goal of the My Team game mode is to design your own fantasy team and buy the necessary players and trainers using in-game currency and trading cards in the finest FUT fashion.

In version 1.0.0, the game mode will be titled "Dream Team" rather than "My Team." According to Konami, you can not only sign players and coaches but also develop them to meet your gaming philosophy.

There will also be a match pass system where you can collect virtual things as prizes for completing games. Complete challenges in the future Goals section to get in-game rewards. Of course, there will be online tournaments as well.

eFootball supports the following virtual currencies:

  • eFootball Coins can be purchased with actual money. These coins can be used to purchase match passes/game passes as well as unlock premium goals, which can then be used to gain exclusive in-game goodies. These coins can also be used to purchase players, among other things.
  • GP is an in-game currency that can be used to sign players and coaches. In eFootball, GP may only be obtained directly through play.
  • eFootball Points can also be gained only through gameplay and used to purchase player signings and virtual products.

These teams are licensed and included in eFootball 2022

In the "Game - authentic" game option, you may also kick the virtual leather in friendly games with licensed teams - without any loot boxes. Initially, there are nine licensed club teams available, all of which are Konami premium partners, such as FC Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona.

In eFootball 2022, the following leagues should be available for free:

  • 1st and 2nd English leagues with partially licensed club teams, such as record champions Manchester United and FC Arsenal London
  • 1st and 2nd Spanish league with partially licensed club teams, such as e.g. FC Barcelona
  • Fully Licensed Series A & B (Italy)
  • Fully licensed Ligue 1 & 2 (France)
  • Fully licensed Portugal Liga (Portugal)
  • Fully licensed Süper Lig (Turkey)
  • Fully Licensed Russian Premier League (Russia)
  • Fully licensed Eredivisie (Netherlands)
  • Fully Licensed Jupiler Pro League (Belgium)
  • Fully licensed 3F Superliga (Denmark)
  • Fully licensed Scottish Premiership (Scotland)
  • Fully licensed Super League (Switzerland)
  • Fully Licensed Series A & B (Brazil)
  • Argentine league with partially licensed club teams, e.g. B. River Plate
  • American league with partially licensed club teams
  • Primera División aka Campeonato Nacional AFP Planvital (Chile)
  • Thai League (Thailand)
  • J. League Division 1 & 2 (Japan; only available in Android/iOS version)

To play offline game modes, such as Master League in eFootball, you must purchase a paid DLC pack. Konami hasn't said when this additional pack will be released. In addition to DLCs, Konami primarily wishes to profit from loot boxes.

For example, you can spend roughly 40 dollars on a Premium Player Pack and then obtain virtual kickers for your own club. eFootball is currently only available on PC, PS4/5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Konami has apologized for the extended delay of a version for Apple iOS and Android.

Version 1.0 makes fans happy

Konami has finally released version 1.0 of eFootball 2022, which is around 26.6 gigabytes in size. Many Steam users are pleased with the update, and writing, for example, that ball physics and player animations have finally been greatly improved.

However, some gamers are missing the next-gen feel, as version 1.0 "just" solves the biggest flaws and does not yet include any truly noticeable next-gen capabilities, according to users.

It's also been pointed out that the paid DLC featuring the master league is still not available for purchase. True, offline test matches in "Game - authentic" mode can be performed, but only between nine separate, fully licensed Konami partner teams, such as B. FC Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona. Despite the fact that approval has risen to 29%.
