Daniel Craig explained the change in the film: No more Bond girls. They no longer exist

"No time to die", a new film about "Agent 007", is being shown in cinemas around the world. There are no more fatal "Bond girls" in the film, so the main actor had to explain why that is so.

The audience saw James Bond for the first time in the movie "Dr. No" back in 1962, and Bond's girls were still in focus then.

However, the iconic spy franchise has come under fire from critics for portraying women in this way, and many believe that the way Bond treats them is not appropriate for modern audiences.

Lately, directors have been trying to solve the problem by creating characters with girls who are equal to Bond.

For example, Lashana Lynch plays Agent Nomi in "No Time to Die".

In an interview with "Entertainment Weekly", Daniel Craig stated that people must be constantly justified when they talk about this topic, ie the allegations that Bond's girls no longer exist.

- No more Bond girls. They no longer exist. They may come back someday, but not in my films, ”he said.

Craig’s honesty surprised some fans, but he never shied away from being completely open.

Last month, he announced that he would no longer act in Bond film sequels, and added that he was not really interested in who would "take over" the character after him.
