Decorate your apartments and holiday homes!

Arranging or remodeling a rental property doesn’t have to be stressful if you put together a quality budget and a good plan to stick to. To begin with, do not look at this investment as a cost but as an investment. Investing in decorating apartments or holiday homes will increase their value, so you will be able to raise the rental price and earn more. If you’re not sure what you should renovate, it’s a good idea to look at what the competition has to offer and compare it to what you have to offer.

Go through each room; arrange furniture, check the correctness of the device, see which accessories you have or do not have, and which could achieve the added value of accommodation. Mapping the landscaping area will make it easier to realize the plan and you will stay in the budget, which will result in guest satisfaction and higher earnings. Here are some suggestions and tips.

1. Bathroom

In this room,  cleanliness should come first because maintained spaces are mostly the most important to guests. When maintaining the bathroom, the emphasis should be on elements such as toilet seats, shower handles (even the shower or bathtub itself), mirrors, and similar because after a few years you may notice yellowing, scale, or damage, which gives the impression that they are dirty. Therefore, be sure to replace what is worn out.

Equally, consider a new wall color light blue, light green, or even brown are great choices that will give your bathroom a fresh look. Check the condition of the tiles and whether they need to be thoroughly cleaned or even replaced. Make sure there are no molds in your bathroom. What else can affect the good impression of the bathroom is the smell. Clean drains and siphons and provide scented devices that will refresh the space.

2. Kitchen

Similar to a bathroom, decorating a kitchen doesn’t have to involve renovating an entire space because there are other ways you can decorate a space without investing too much money. Instead of buying new kitchen furniture, you can paint the old furniture in a different color and thus refresh the look. Also, consider lighting because well-lit kitchens leave a much better impression, moreover, beautiful lighting fixtures can give the space a luxurious look.

Replacing work surfaces can also improve the look, but also the functionality of this room, which greatly improves the impression of guests. If you have enough money, do not hesitate to buy a new appliance, such as a dishwasher. Also pay attention to cutlery, utensils, etc., but also to kitchen appliances - worn-out appliances not only leave a bad impression but pose a danger to guests.

3. Bedroom

The bedroom is synonymous with comfort, but also for relaxation. Keep in mind that guests go on holiday to take a break from everyday life and to relax. That is why a bed or mattress is a very important item of your accommodation. If you have bumpy, uncomfortable, and dirty mattresses it's time to replace them. Multi-star hotels change their mattresses every three to five years, but in smaller accommodations, such as apartments, they can last a little longer.

It is good practice to rotate them every three months to ensure a consistent level of support and continued comfort. In facilities that you rent only during the season, such frequent rotation is not required. As for pillows, it is important to know that synthetic ones, with proper washing, last approximately 18-24 months, and feathery ones can last up to 36 months. Try to provide a combination of soft and firm pillows so that you can satisfy the different preferences of the guests.
