Delicious Buns filled with apples!
Although the classic fillings that include jam and chocolate make us very happy, we decided to try this sweet version, which includes the juiciest sweet apples and a dose of fine spices.
Although the classic fillings that include jam and chocolate make us very happy, we decided to try this sweet version, which includes the juiciest sweet apples and a dose of fine spices. All you need is a classic bun dough.
Ingredients for bun dough:
- 400 g flour
- 140 ml of milk
- 80 g butter (40 + 40)
- 60 g of sugar
- 25 g of fresh yeast or one dry
- 2 eggs
- 1 bag of vanilla sugar
- 1 lemon (zest)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Preparation:
- When the dough is ready, let it rise, during which time prepare the apple filling.
- Finely chop the apples and sprinkle with lemon juice.
- In a deep bowl, melt a cube of butter, add the apples and simmer for a few minutes.
- Add vanilla extract, cinnamon, cloves and other spices as desired.
- Saute until the apples are slightly softened, then fill the dough with the resulting mixture.
- Close the buns well on all sides so that the filling does not leak out and arrange them next to each other in the baking dish.
- Coat the buns with butter and bake until golden brown.
- Finally, sprinkle them with powdered sugar mixed with cinnamon.
