‘We don’t notice a difference in age. I never cared as much as she did. We have a great relationship, and I can only say that love always finds a good way ', the actor commented on one occasion and pointed out that Laura is the love of his life. Quaid met the entrepreneurship student at a business event in 2019, and they both said it was love at first sight. Laura emphasized that she had never been so in love and that nothing could change that.

This is Denis' fourth marriage. From 1978 to 1983, he was married to PJ Soles, and in 1991 he married Meg Ryan with whom he had a son, Jack, and they divorced in 2000. From 2004 to 2018, he was married to Kimberly Buffington with whom he has twins born with help of a surrogate mother, and before Laura, he loved Santa Auzina.
