Catherine Louise Sagal, better known as Katey Sagal, is an American actress, singer, and writer, known mainly for her role as Peggy Bundy in the series Married with Children and also as Gemma Teller in the Sons Of Anarchy series. Sagal was born into a family dedicated to television shows. Her father, Boris Sagal, was known for drama programs of the 1960s. Sagal is the older sister of actresses Jean Sagal and Liz Sagal, who became famous in the 1980s series Double Trouble.
She has starred in numerous series and films but the role of Peggy Bundy is one that has brought her worldwide fame. Namely, an American actress has changed her image so much over the years that some fans do not recognize her when she walks down the street.
Katey, who is remembered by many for the red wig she wore in ‘Married with Children’, has dark and straight hair today. She is very active on social networks and often shares her own photos with her followers, some of which are from new recordings.

When she was just 21, Katey lost her mother. She died of a heart attack. Her mother worked as a producer. In addition to Katey, she left behind two younger twins that the actress had to take care of because their father was killed during the filming of 'Third World War'.
Katey at one point went into a hell of an addiction to alcohol and various drugs. It was not until 1986 that she managed to recover from her depression when she reported to a rehab clinic. She never went back to old vices.
In the early 70's the actress was in a love affair with the frontman of the group 'Kiss' Gene Simmons, and after him, from 1977 to 1981 she married guitarist Freddie Beckmeier. She was unlucky in love and soon broke up with the musician. However, in 1933 she remarried drummer Jack White.
After seven years of marriage, she divorced the drummer, and shortly afterward, in 2004, she married Kurt Slatter. The couple got a daughter, Esme Louise, in 2007, which was a great wish of the actress.
Katey had several miscarriages during her life and gave birth to a stillborn baby. Due to severe tragedies, she and her husband decided for a surrogate mother.
