Famous liar: Life story of Steven Seagal
Steven Seagal had a brilliant acting career until he was accused of sexual abuse, and his numerous lies were revealed.
Steven Seagal is celebrating his 70th birthday, and the famous actor was once known for his martial arts which were later overshadowed by his lies and horrific accusations against him. He acted in about 50 films in which he mostly played a hero who jumps in to help at the most important moment. He is known for the action hits 'Above the Law', 'Bulletproof' and 'The Final Decision'.
While today the audience knows him as a strongman, Steven was fragile health as a child and he struggled with asthma. His mother once said that’s why they moved to California when he was five. As a teenager, he loved music, so he learned to play the guitar, and he released two albums. Also, he worked on the music for his films.
The actor was called one of the biggest liars among celebrities. He lied about his origins claiming to have Russian and Japanese roots, but he has Jewish and Irish roots. Namely, his mother is of Irish descent and his father is of Jewish descent. His claims that he participated in the training of CIA agents and fought against the Yakuza are also bizarre.
Seagal is an expert in the martial art of aikido, which he showed in the roles he played, and it is interesting that he has as many as three citizenships, Serbian, American and Russian. He especially tried to get Russian citizenship because he always said that he loved Vladimir Putin as a brother.
Seagal once won the sympathy of the public because he is a great advocate of animal rights, so he even received an award from the famous organization PETA. However, his reputation was damaged after accusations of sexual abuse by several actresses. Steven made a financial deal with them, which convinced many that he was hiding his true face.
Among those who spoke about his abuse was actress Portia de Rossi, the wife of host Ellen DeGeneres. She revealed that Seagal unbuttoned his pants at the audition, explaining that he had to check the chemistry between them. Maybe his dark side is the reason he got married four times. He married in 1974 a Japanese woman Miyako Fujitano, the daughter of his aikido instructor, and their marriage lasted until 1987. Together they had a son Kmentar (46) who is an actor and a daughter, writer Ayako (42). Steven was guilty of divorce from Miyako because he started an affair with model Kelly LeBrock (62). Because of her, he moved to America and left his wife and children in Japan. The actor also married his colleague Adrienne La Russa (73) in 1984, but the marriage was not legally valid because he had not yet divorced his first wife. The same year his divorce from Miyako was official, he said a ‘fateful yes’ to Kelly with whom he had two daughters and a son. Their marriage ended in 1996, and they cited irreconcilable differences as the reason. Steven married for the fourth time in 2009, to Mongolian actress Erdenetuya Batsukh with whom he had a son, Kunzang (12).
