The action thriller takes us into the harsh world of underground fight clubs and corruption.
We know the first rule of fight club, but Quiver Distribution's latest film definitely wants to break it. Starring Frank Grillo, the upcoming movie "Lights Out" takes audiences through the harsh world of fight clubs and corruption. This sounds more than interesting!
What can we expect?
This movie follows a man who gets more than he negotiated for, going deeper into a life of crime.
Today we have the opportunity to watch the first exclusive trailer for the upcoming action film, which follows Michael "Duffy" Duffield (Grillo), a homeless veteran who catches the attention of ex-con Max Bomer ( Mekhi Phifer ) after Duffy gets into a bar fight.
Impressed by Duffy's skills, Max offers him a "job" to compete in underground fight clubs. In this way, later they became partners. They go to Los Angeles, where Duffy is looking for redemption, while Max wants to pay back a crime boss named Sage Parker ( Dermot Mulroney ). Things get more complicated when, after Duffy wins Sage's fight club, he is drawn into the world of crime, and forced to take on new jobs, including working for Ellen Ridgway ( Jaime King ), a police officer and Sage's boss. The further Duffy enters this world, the more dangerous he becomes.
The film was written by Chad Law and Garry Charles, while the director's baton is held by Christian Sesma. In addition to the aforementioned cast, the film also stars Scott Adkins, Amaury Nolasco, Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone, Erica Peeples, Juju Chan Szeto and Kevin Gage. The film also reunites Sesma with Paul Sloan and Justin Furstenfeld.
The film "Lights Out" will be released on February 16. If you are a fan of action movies this is a great choice for you!
