I.S.S. is a gripping thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat!
Bleecker Street Films has released the full trailer for the sci-fi thriller "I.S.S.", directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite (Blackfish, Our Friend, Megan Leavey). The script is written by Nick Shafir, and the producers are Mickey Liddell and Pete Shilaimon. The film is the second collaboration between Cowperthwaite and Bleecker Street Films. They collaborated for the first time on Megan Leavey's war drama from 2017, in which Kata Mara and Tom Felton played the main roles. "I.S.S." already had its premiere at this year's Tribeca Film Festival, and it was shown as part of the Denver Film Festival. Therefore, the film already has a critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which currently stands at 92%, based on a total of 12 reviews.
What can we expect?
Tensions flare on the International Space Station as a global conflict erupts on Earth. Disturbed by these events, the astronauts receive orders from Earth: take control of the station by any means necessary. The situation quickly escalates as both teams of astronauts, American and Russian (although in reality, five partner agencies from Canada, Japan, Europe, America, and Russia are responsible for managing the International Space Station) try to figure out how to survive.
“I.S.S. is a gripping thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat. But underneath it all, it's actually a human story - a story about the tension between what we're called to do and what we know we are." is one of the comments.
Starring Ariana DeBose (West Side Story) as Dr. Kira Foster, Chris Messina (Birds of Prey) as Gordon Barrett, Pilou Asbæk (Game of Thrones) as Alexey Pulov, John Gallagher Jr. (Westworld) as Christian, Costa Ronin (The Americans) as Nicholai and Maria Mashkova as Weronika.
Soon we will have the opportunity to watch "I.S.S." because it arrives in theaters on January 19, 2024 .
