Google Chrome, smarter thanks to AI

The web and its services have fundamentally revolutionized the way we use the PC and many other devices, whether for business, communication, enjoyment, training, or a thousand other reasons. The browser is now the gateway to practically everything.

As a result, it is understandable that the corporations that create them are keen on capturing the most possible part of the market. This has been going on since the 1990s, with some fairly humiliating occurrences in the early years, and has continued till now, although under much better conditions, which we users profit from.

And, while Google Chrome is currently the clear winner, we must remember that these numbers change on a daily basis and that the applicants can not rest, so neither can Google.

On the other hand, artificial intelligence is gaining footing day by day; we can already see it in personalized suggestions, optimal settings for specific conditions, and so on, and browsers are not immune to this trend. As a result, and as stated on the official Google site, Google Chrome will soon incorporate certain AI-based capabilities that will significantly improve the user experience.

On the one hand, machine learning intelligence will assess our relationship with the messages that allow us to receive notifications from web pages, an aspect that may be extremely useful at times but can also be a nightmare, in order to automatically block these messages. If Google Chrome limits an alert from a website in this situation, it will notify us in the Omnibox (the browser's search and URL bar).

Google developers, on the other hand, have noted that the use of the Google Chrome toolbar changes depending on the user and the kind of website they are visiting. Thus, his concept is that the toolbar is dynamic and, by learning from each person's usage of it, be able to modify its content to the user and context, always attempting to provide more direct access to the functions that are more likely to be used at any moment.

With Microsoft making great and positive efforts to improve Edge and Apple fighting to maintain second place in the ranking, the competition is still open, and while Google Chrome will continue to reign in the short and medium-term, it is positive and to be thankful that they do not rest on their laurels and continue to work to improve your browser, just as Microsoft and Apple do.
