Grado RS1x Reference Series, Headphones

Grado's initial headphones were created 31 years ago. These are sometimes regarded as the first audiophile-quality dynamic headphones. Their popularity stems not only from their distinct appearance but also from the fact that they are hand-assembled in Brooklyn.

The Grado RS1x Reference Series headphones are their flagship model in the new generation. They are the first Grado headphones that use bigger 50mm, X Drivers. These are lightweight and precisely tuned, featuring a stronger magnet and a lighter coil. The inverters are manually coupled, with a maximum differential of 0.05 dB. The frequency range is said to be 12 Hz to 30,000 Hz, with an impedance of 38 ohms.

Grado headphones employed three different varieties of wood for the first time. The case is constructed with a maple sleeve, hemp core, and an extremely robust cocobolo wood cover. This, together with Grad's new 50mm X Driver, has allowed the trademark sound to be taken to a new level; as a result, the sound should be full, dramatic, and authentically characterized.

The cables and head bridge, in addition to the inverters, were rebuilt for the RS1x. The eight-core copper cable is housed in a more durable outer braid; in this category, it is not a removable solution, but rather a fixed connection with the inverters (according to Grad for maximum performance).

It is possible to have headphones with an XLR connector for an additional charge, but it is necessary to choose it directly at the time of purchase, because, as previously said, the wires are firmly attached and another cable is required for symmetrical connection. The head bridge is comprised of metal, leather, and white thread quilting.

The sound is musical, energetic, detailed, open, and airy, with a linear but not sterile quality. Of course, there is a well-known space. However, because of the design, they remain light and comfy, allowing for long periods of listening.

You will have to wait for them due to global interest and handmade production.
