Guillermo del Toro's "Pinocchio" is full of wonders!

Guillermo del Toro's "Pinocchio" doesn't look like the story you know, and the latest look at the film makes that clear. It's been a while since the first teaser for del Toro's long-awaited vision of Pinocchio. But now, we have the opportunity to watch the film on Netflix. But if you want to see the official trailer you will definitely have a better look at this darker version of the classic story.

Netflix gave del Toro the green light for his debut in the world of animated feature films back in 2018. It is a stop-motion musical that will tell a classic children's story, somewhat darker, about a doll that wants to be a real living boy. The film draws inspiration from Grimly's design from 2002, and in an interview del Toro stated that he also found inspiration in Frankenstein. The directors of the project are del Toro and Mark Gustafson (Fantastic Mr. Fox), while the script is written by del Toro, Matthew Robbins (Crimson Peak) and Patrick McHale (Over the Garden Wall).

The film is described as a reimagining of the classic story that will follow the adventures of a wooden boy in search of his place in the world. The story is set in Italy, during the 1930s, a particularly significant historical period, when fascism was on the rise and when Benito Mussolini was consolidating his power in the country.

Guillermo del Toro's "Pinocchio" arrived on Netflix on December 9. So, don't hesitate to watch it. You will not regret it!
