Chia seeds are rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, fiber, antioxidants, proteins, but also manganese, magnesium, phosphorus, and calcium. They strengthen immunity and are great for the cardiovascular system... They contain as much as two percent more calcium than cow's milk, so they strengthen bones, and due to the high content of fiber, they work wonders for digestion.

You can easily make numerous salads, sandwiches, muffins, and other great meals with chia seeds, but they are also a phenomenal ingredient in various desserts. Magical chia puddings, either with almonds and cocoa, or with bananas, are a great choice both as a dessert and as a breakfast because they can be easily made by yourself; in fact, chia seeds act like gelatin, so you just need to mix them with water or milk, and they will do all the work themselves.

However, if you want to try a dessert with chia seeds that is not gelled, just blend them before serving... And enjoy a healthy and sweet breakfast.

Recipe:

  • half a liter of milk
  • 85 g of chia seeds
  • 85 g of honey
  • 25 g cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preparation:

Pour all the ingredients into a blender, then blend for about a minute. It's over when you get a creamy mixture.

Transfer it to pudding bowls and leave it in the fridge to cool for a few hours or make your life easier and make pudding before going to bed.

Garnish with fruit or as desired.
