Jada Pinkett Smith (50) suffers from an autoimmune disorder of alopecia, which causes hair loss. This actress has been talking openly for years about the problem that befell her and encourages others to accept themselves as they are.

'I can only laugh'

The 50-year-old actress, activist, and host of "Red Table Talk" shared a video on Instagram showing spots on her scalp: "Right now I can only laugh," Pinkett Smith said as she ran her finger over bald lines along the center of the scalp.

"You all know I'm struggling with alopecia and all of a sudden, one day, look at this line here. Look at it. So it just came out like that and it's going to be a little harder to hide this. So I thought maybe I should share it publicly so I they wouldn’t ask any questions, ” the actress joked in the video.

Instead of getting upset about it, Pinkett Smith prefers to speak positively about hair loss. She wrote on her Instagram video:

"Mom will have to cover it up so someone doesn't think I had brain surgery or something. Me and this alopecia will be friends ... period!".

Last July, Pinkett Smith was inspired by 21-year-old Willow Smith to shave her head completely. "Willow made me do it because it was time to give in," she wrote in a statement. In 2018, Pinkett Smith spoke publicly about her “hair loss problems,” during one episode of “Red Table Talk,” explaining, “It was scary when it first started. I took a shower one day and had only a handful of hair in my hands and I just thought, oh my God, am I going to go bald? ".

However, she eventually found a treatment that stopped part of her hair loss. “I get my little steroid injections and they seem to help, but they don’t cure, but they seem to help, I’m open to other ideas,” the star said in one of the videos on Instagram.

Pinkett Smith, who showed off her short hairstyle, also said she was grateful for the advice she received. "I just want to thank everyone for all the help, from all the doctors and all the holistic practitioners who have approached me for this baldness of mine, I really appreciate it. And I take into account all the recommendations that come to me," the actress said on Instagram.

Recall, Hollywood actor Will Smith spoke openly about his marriage to his wife Jada Pinkett Smith and revealed that at one point in their relationship they decided they would no longer be monogamous.

Jada never believed in a conventional marriage … Some members of her family had an unconventional relationship,” the actor told American GQ, adding: “She grew up in a different way than I did because of that. We had several long discussions. about what a perfect relationship is. What is the ideal behavior for couples? The longest period of our relationship came down to monogamy, but we didn’t consider it the only perfect relationship. “

He also said that this way of love is not for everyone.
