Jamie Lee Curtis supported the young colleague: 'I warn you, don't fu*k with Scarlett Johannson!'
Although a small portion of people support Johansson's decision, Curtis I sided with her as one of the 100 most influential people
Actress Jamie Lee Curtis is more than familiar with Hollywood horrors, both on-screen and in real life. She stood in the fierce defense of her colleague Scarlett Johansson, who is fighting a legal battle with Disney over the Marvel movie "Black Widow", writes The Huffington Post .
In a lawsuit, filed in July, Johansson claimed that Disney had breached their contract and reduced her salary in order to increase the number of users of its own streaming service while launching the film in theaters and at Disney +.
Although there are very few Johansson's public supporters, Curtis took her side as one of the 100 most influential people according to Time magazine.
“I recently watched her as Black Widow taking revenge on a powerful man who manipulates women to fight for him,” Curtis wrote in a piece published in Time magazine on Wednesday.
“And then I saw her brilliant response to a real-life manipulation (same emphasis), when she filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit against the studio, alleging its decision to release the film simultaneously in theaters and on streaming cost her substantial losses in pay," Curtis wrote.
"Whether as an assassin with a conscience, an actor with an emotional center or, having just given birth to her second child, a fierce mother, the message is clear: Don’t f-ck with this mama bear, ” Curtis continued.

She said she had always felt a connection with Johansson because the two were born on the same date, but the connection deepened when Johansson portrayed her mother Janet Leigh in the 2012 biopic “Hitchcock”.
"We spoke. She wanted to understand my mother's interior life. There were obvious touchpoints: they shared Danish roots, a passion for acting, and many talents," Curtis recalled. "There’s a moment in that movie that startles me, where I look at Scarlett and she is my mother," the famous actress concluded.
