Jennifer Lopez: Mental health is important

Jennifer Lopez opened her soul and talked about the panic attacks that tormented her in her twenties - because of rest. During that period, namely, the singer was used to functioning on about a couple of hours of sleep, first of all, and only later did she realize that it was only causing her more damage.

In the "On the JLo” newsletter, she pointed out how important sleep is, and that she learned it the hard way. “I slept between three and five hours, and I spent days on the sets, in the studio... I shot music videos on the weekends. I thought I was invincible. Until one day, before I even got out of my trailer where I was going to get ready, all that stress got to me” - wrote Jennifer, and then continued:

I planned the day in seconds... I couldn't even move anymore. It was as if I was frozen in place, so I got scared, it started to blur in front of my eyes. I later found out it was a classic panic attack due to exhaustion, but at the time, I had no idea what it was.”

When the specialist decided to take a closer look at how she lives, she had to change the "system" a lot. “My security man came to the set, picked me up, and took me to the doctor, that's it. On the way, I relaxed a little so that I could at least speak... I was scared that I was going crazy. That's what I asked the doctor, am I losing my mind now, and he answered in the negative. He told me first to just sleep” - she explained, then added:

I should have slept between seven and nine hours a day, cut out caffeine, and, for a start, that will be enough. So it was. Then I realized that I should not have ignored my own feelings and needs. Care is half of health, both soul and body. That's when I cut it off and never deviated from the right path again, I strictly adhere to everything. It's my lifestyle now” - she concluded.
