Kanye decided to follow everyone with a black profile picture, Kim is not among them

Kanye West, 40, launched an unusual social media campaign in late September. After he changed his profile photo to a black full circle, many of the celebrities he follows on Instagram, such as Justin Bieber, Kendrick Lamar, Solange Knowles, Jayden Smith, and Dave Chappelle, did the same.

The ‘black fever’ began after Kanye posted on his Instagram profile a photo of his ex-wife Kim Kardashian (44) in Balenciaga’s black bodysuit, which she wore to this year’s Met Gala. Also, the cover image of his new album ‘Donda’ is a black square.

Kanye didn’t follow Kim on Instagram until she put a black circle as a profile photo as well. As soon as she changed it again, he stopped following her.

However, the most unusual thing is that the rapper started following everyone who has a black profile photo - be it his friend, fan, or fan page. Before the campaign, he followed only a few people from his profile, but now that number has climbed to more than 6,000 ‘black’ profiles.

Social networks are full of reactions from Kanye fans, who shared the enthusiasm as their idol started following them on Instagram. The number of people who follow continues to grow, although the rapper did not explain the message behind this campaign.
