Kanye releases new album, after a few weeks of delays 'Donda' is finally available to fans
West deals with religious issues again and mentions divorce from Kim Kardashian several times
After several weeks of delay, rapper Kanye West finally released his tenth studio album called "Donda" on streaming services on Sunday.
West announced the album two years ago. He also organized three large public hearings held in Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Chicago where guests could hear some of the songs and spent some time at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta to focus on the recording process.
The release of the album was officially announced on Instagram a few hours earlier by his manager Bu Thiam .
Jay-Z, The Weeknd, Travis Scott, and Lil Baby are guests on a two-hour album with 27 songs.
Other participants in the album are even more controversial figures - American singer Marylin Manson, accused of rape, and rapper DaBaby, who caused controversy this summer with his homophobic and sexist comments.
Chris Brown, convicted in 2009 of attacking singer Rihanna, is one of the guest musicians as the composer and songwriter of the song “New Again”.
On the new album, named after his mother, who passed away in 2007, Kanye West revisits religious themes and mentions his and Kim Kardashian's divorce several times.
The 44-year-old artist, whose divorce from American reality TV star Kim Kardashian is underway, has also initiated the process of officially changing his name to "Ye".
