In 2009, the music industry was marked by singer Lily Allen. As many as two songs from the same album, 'Fu * k You' and 'Not Fair' were broadcast day and night on all radio stations, and the famous beauty gained world fame almost overnight. ‘I saw the baby’s head between my legs and there was nothing I could do for him,’ she wrote, adding that the birth took almost 10 hours. She cried, and the next few days she had to be under strong sedatives. A year later, she gave birth to a healthy daughter, Ethel, and then in 2013, she had another daughter, whom she named Marnie Rose.
However, the tragic birth left deep consequences. Lily struggled with postpartum depression and PTSD, which is why she ended up in a psychiatric clinic for three months. As Lily grew up surrounded by alcohol and narcotics, she does not know when exactly she started consuming them. ‘Fun’ really escalated at a time when she was hanging out with Miley, who was going through her post-Disney phase. Since they were on tour together, Lily revealed in her memoirs that they had tried everything there was to try, but that she realized what time it was when she wanted to try heroin.
‘I knew I had to stop,’ she said, after which she said goodbye to illicit substances. However, during all those years, ups and downs, her marriage suffered. Although she and Sam Cooper tried to overcome obstacles several times, unfortunately, an end followed.
Lily explained that after so many years off the stage, she was left without a constant inflow of money, so she could no longer repay the loan. Because of all this, she abruptly returned to touring, and she treated her loneliness with escort girls or prostitutes with whom she regularly slept. Although she missed her husband and children, returning from the tour, she returned with illicit substances, and Sam could not stand it anymore. Unfortunately, after that, Lily faced more problems. She tried to recover and get back on track, however, she first experienced an attempted rape by a colleague who allegedly wanted to help her, and then the same year she survived a robbery while she was sleeping with the children in her home. The assailant threatened her with a knife, and it’s about a deranged person who claimed to have written her hit ‘The Fear’.After that, Lily couldn't trust anyone anymore. Fortunately, after years of therapy and with the help of her brother, she returned to the right path, but she continued her career in another direction. The once famous singer became an actress and recently appeared at the prestigious Olivier Awards.
Lily, by the way, found happiness in love again, with the star of the 'Stranger Things' series David Harbor, and many comment that the singer and actress who most often acts in the theater today radiates an old glow again.
