Monument Valley is coming to PC via Steam
It seems incredible, but it has been eight years since the release of Monument Valley, a game that caused a real sensation at the time due to the combination of a fascinating design and puzzles that, while not overly complex, were challenging enough to attract and entertain a large number of users who were hooked on what many considered to be the game of the year.
We remember playing it at the time, and the only drawback We could get out of it was its short duration. Monument Valley 2 was released in 2017 to compensate (and, of course, to increase sales), and a little over a year ago Apple introduced Monument Valley Plus, a reissue of the classic, to its gaming subscription service, Apple Arcade.
However, PC users have been unable to enjoy it on their systems for many years, and there has been no indication that this will change. However, as seen on Steam, this restriction will be lifted on July 12, when Monument Valley and Monument Valley 2 will be released on the Valve shop, both independently and as a set including both titles.
Several changes have been done by the creator to improve the experience. First and foremost, because the mobile versions are focused on touch input, it was important to modify them so that the game could be handled with a keyboard and mouse. And, on the other hand, in terms of its visual aspect, both due to screen orientation and aspect ratio, both of which differ (particularly the first, of course) across both platforms.
Each game will cost $7.99, with the option to buy them in a pack for a 15% savings over buying them separately. Furthermore, these editions will include the DLC for both games, Forgotten Shores and Ida's Dream for the first installment and The Lost Forest for Monument Valley 2. If you liked them on mobile, it seems like a good idea to give the PC versions a shot.
