New Netflix's movie "Dead Boy Detectives" coming next year!
Teenage ghosts solve crimes and fight demons in "Dead Boy Detectives"!
Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming series "Dead Boy Detectives", based on the popular story by Neil Gaiman. The eagerly awaited spin-off story of Gaiman's Sandman presented the first shots, but they also revealed the main characters.
At the center of the supernatural story are three main characters: George Rexstrew as Edwin Payne, Jayden Revri as Charles Rowland, and Kassius Nelson as Crystal Palace. Edwin Paine and Charles Rowland are just like most boys. But you see, Edwin Paine and Charles Rowland are definitely two of the best detectives in England. We didn’t say that they are living in England. That’s because Edwin and Charles aren’t living in England. In fact, they’re not living at all.
At the center of the action are two ghosts, Edwin and Charles, who did not know each other when they were alive, but they became friends in the afterlife and started an afterlife detective agency together.
The series' official description reveals:
" In this new supernatural series set in the Sandman universe, two teenagers find each other in death... and will do anything to stay together - including escaping evil witches, hell, and death itself. With the help of a psychic named Crystal (Kassius Nelson), they must work together to solve some of the most mysterious paranormal cases in the mortal world."
The cast also includes Lukas Cage, Yuyu Kitamura, Briana Cuoco, Ruth Connell and Jenn Lyon .
We already had the opportunity to meet the characters of Edwin and Charles in the third season of the series "Doom Patrol" , where they were played by Sebastian Croft and Ty Tennant. Last year, it was decided that the story would get its own screenplay, but HBO gave up relatively quickly, so Netflix took over the rights this year.
So far, the premiere date of the new supernatural series has not been revealed, but it is expected sometime next year.
