Not a meat lover? Then this veggie burger is ideal for you
Make delicious vegan burgers with polenta and season them with cumin, chili and coriander. The recipe is ideal for everyone who does not like meat or does not eat it, and you prepare it in the oven and pan
It is very easy to prepare and contains very few calories. It is healthy, vegan, and can be eaten by those who pay attention to their diet and avoid foods of animal origin, but also by those who normally eat meat, but would like to try something easier to digest.
Ingredients
- 6 large sweet potatoes
- 2 teaspoons of oil
- 2 red onions, finely chopped
- 2 red chillies, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon ground coriander
- 340 g sweet corn
- A little coriander, chopped
- 200 g of polenta
- buns, salsa, onions, and lettuce leaves
Preparation
Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Peel the sweet potato, grate it, and put it on a baking sheet. Bake for 45 minutes until really softened. Take it out of the oven and let it cool. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a small pan, add the onion and chili, and simmer for 8-10 minutes until softened. Allow to cool. Peel the potatoes and add them to the bowl with the chili onions. Mash together with the spices until smooth.
Stir in the sweet corn, coriander, half of the polenta, and a little spice with your hands. Form the mixture into 10 burgers; it will be quite soft. Carefully dip each into the remaining polenta; wipe off any excess. Let them rest for a while, then fry them in a pan. Bake the burgers for 10 minutes on each side until nicely browned.
Serve in a bun with vegetable salsa or salsa of your choice, a little onion, and lettuce leaves. You can also add tofu cheese, tomato, and other toppings to this recipe.
