Priyanka: 'Our little girl is finally home'

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra welcomed their little girl Malta Marie home after spending more than 100 days in the neonatal intensive care unit.

The couple shared baby's first photo on social media on Sunday.The cute photo shows Chopra, 39, holding Malta Marie on her chest while Jonas, 29, grabed her little hand.

The actress and Jonas Brothers member wrote in a joint statement below the post: 'On this Mother's Day, we can't help but think about these last few months and what we've been through, and we know a lot of people have been through the same'. They added: 'After more than 100 days in NIC, our little girl is finally home.'.

Chopra and Jonas acknowledged that each family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith and while they think retrospectively about their, they realized how precious and perfect every moment is.

‘We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and we just want to thank all the doctors, nurses and specialists at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who selflessly were there at every turn,’ they concluded.

‘Our next chapter begins now, and our baby is a truly fighter. Let's go MM! Mom and Dad love you.' they wrote.

Chopra and Jonas then added their own messages to each other for Mother’s Day.The actress,who is a mother for the first time ,said in a message to Jonas: 'There is no one with whom I would rather do it than you. Thank you for making me Mom Nick Jonas, I love you.'Meanwhile, the singer replied to his wife:'Honey, you inspire me in every way, and you take on this new role with such ease and perseverance.I am so grateful to be on this journey with you,' he added. 'You're already an amazing mother. Happy Mother's Day. I love you.'

Chopra and Jonas announced in January that they were ‘overjoyed’ to have welcomed their first child through a surrogacy.
