Reese Witherspoon confesses: "I gave birth to my first child and I went through hell!"
She had no help for the first few months after she gave birth to her daughter, so due to extreme exhaustion and sleep deprivation, she became delirious.
Reese Witherspoon recently spoke publicly about the ordeal she went through as a young mother. The beautiful actress gave birth to her first child Ava (21) at the age of 23, and as she did not have any help from the people around her, she ended up becoming delusional.
Many listened to the confession of the famous actress and mother of three children (Ava and sons Deacon, 17, and Tennessee, 8) in the "Armchair Expert" podcast without saying a word. She talked to Kristen Bell and Monica Padman about "the hell she found herself in, instead of heaven", during the first days of motherhood.
- "I did not have a lot of support with my first baby and I learned really early, like this is not going to work. I tried to muscle through for five months with Ava, just not sleeping and I became delirious. I was lucky enough to have money saved and I didn't have to work but it's just not a one-person job. I would even say it's not a two-person job" - said Reese, remembering her youth and the beginning of the most important role in her life.
This experience, although traumatic, helped Reese develop a strong bond with her three children.
"I never expected the kind of relationship that I have with them, but it's so rewarding to be able to have kids that you can process life with a little bit, and they help me understand the complexities of what it means to be a human now," she said in a previous interview. "So I'm really, really grateful that these little humans are in my life."
