Rupert Grint: I want to play Ron again
Rupert Grint: 'I want to play Ron again if Harry Potter sequels are made.'
British actor Rupert Grint has declared that he intends to reprise his role as Ron Weasley if the Harry Potter saga continues. Today, the 34-year-old Grint is willing to reprise the role that made him famous, but only "if everything comes together and the others agree to act again," he says.
Grint told This Morning that he "feels protective of Ron" and would "want to see what he would look like now in that role," which he claims defined his boyhood.
"Would you play Ron again? Would it be weird to play him again in this day and age," asked the host, to which Grint replies, "I think I would if the timing is right and everyone else decides to come back. The character of Ron to me is very important and over time we became like one person. I treat Ron protectively, he marked my upbringing."
Grint then made a little joke about himself, claiming that before portraying Ron in Harry Potter, he had no significant acting experience: "I played a fish in a school play before Harry Potter."

Harry Melling (33) is one of the stars of the film based on Edgar Allan Poe's novel, which also stars Christian Bale. We first saw Melling in the series The Queen's Gambit two years ago, but the role that made him famous was that of Dudley Dursley in the Harry Potter adaption.
Melling has had a significant shift between his first appearance in Harry Potter and the last young wizard picture, but it pales in comparison to the one he has undergone between his last appearance in Potter and now.
The actor shed a lot of weight and spent years honing his craft by playing in theatre before returning to the movies and doing extremely well since then. In addition to The Queen's Gambit and The Pale Blue Eye, from 2019 to the present, he has appeared in the movie In the Eternal Struggle with Satan, The Old Guard, and a slew of other successful films, most of which we have been able to view on Netflix.
