In the new historical mini-series, the famous Hollywood actor Michael Douglas plays Benjamin Franklin, an American politician, and inventor. The famous actor published the first photo from the shoot on his Instagram account, which shows how he will look in the role of the famous American politician.
The series is directed by Tim van Patten, and the last time the great American was revived on the big screen was by Orson Welles in 1954 in the film "Royal Affairs in Versailles" and then in "La Fayette" (1962). Walt Disney's "Ben and Me" is also well-known, in which the youngest audience is vividly presented with the successes and importance of Franklin for the history of America.
The series will explore, as stated, the exciting story of Benjamin Franklin's career when, without any diplomatic experience, and only thanks to his genius and charisma, he managed to convince France to sign the American "experiment in democracy".
Franklin managed to outwit British spies and French informers, and conclude the Franco-American alliance in 1778 and the final peace with England in 1783. The eight-year mission in France has been recorded as his most important service, without which America would not have won the revolution.
Benjamin Franklin was born in Boston. Unable to find work in New York, Franklin headed to Philadelphia at the age of 17, which he found to be a much more open and tolerant place to live than Boston. A few weeks later he got a job as a scribe. He enjoyed hanging out with lovers of good literature. William Keith, the governor of Pennsylvania called him into his service.

As a scientist, he is known as the inventor of lightning rods and the discovery of the Gulf Stream. In addition to the lightning rod, he invented the Franklin stove and bifocal glasses and built the first duplicating machine.
He was the first to introduce street lighting and reorganized the US postal system. His most famous scientific work is related to electricity. He founded the first public library in America, the Philosophical Society of Pennsylvania, and the "Academy" which grew into the University of Pennsylvania.
