The cucumber diet promises great results

If you are one of those people who do not like to plan meals too much and want to lose a few extra pounds, then the cucumber diet is just for you. This diet is carried out between 10 and 14 days (after that there is a break of 7 days), and it is possible to lose up to 7 kilograms, and during all that time you will not starve, nor meals require you to spend hours and hours in the kitchen.

The basis of the diet are smoothies or salads with cucumbers, which can be consumed in unlimited quantities, but also every time you feel hungry. Both salad and smoothie are rich in vitamins and minerals, so there is no need to be afraid that you will miss something during this regimen. However, the recommendation, as with any diet, is to first check the condition of your body and consult a doctor.

Examples of menus:

Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs or 150 grams of tuna drained of oil or 150 grams of grilled white meat; or 2 hard-boiled eggs + a bowl of cucumber salad

Snack: 5 plums or one large apple or peach… or some other seasonal fruit weighing up to 200 grams

Lunch: 2 large boiled potatoes (can be cooked, steamed, baked in the oven but not fried in oil) or 3 slices of toasted bread + a bowl of cucumber salad

Snack: Cucumber shake

Dinner: 300 grams of fresh fruit.

Remember that with every meal as well as between meals, you are allowed to eat cucumber salad or drink cucumber smoothie indefinitely, and the same rule applies if you happen to get hungry.

Forbidden:

Water, tea, and coffee you can consume. What is strictly forbidden are carbonated drinks, alcohol, and sweets.

Cucumber salad

  • Needed:
    about 400 g of cucumbers;
  • 2 dl of sour milk or yogurt (who has homemade kefir can use it instead of yogurt because it is great for digestion)
  • if desired, garlic

Preparation:

Peel a cucumber and cut it into rings, add salt, stir gently and pour over sour milk, yogurt or kefir. You can, to taste, add a little garlic and serve immediately.

Cucumber Shake / Smoothie

  • Needed:
    cucumber with peel
  • a handful of spinach
  • 1 sour apple
  • a little ground ginger and pieces of almonds and walnuts

Preparation:

Wash the ingredients well, then chop and put in a blender. If desired, add a little ginger and sprinkle with finely chopped almonds before serving. This drink will supply the body with an abundance of vitamins and minerals, especially vitamins A and K. The drink is also rich in fiber, magnesium, iron, vitamins C, E, and B, as well as calcium and potassium. The whole spectrum of everything we need, all in one glass.
